I was cleaning my car up yesterday. It wasn't a very good day really, I will be honest, I was in a really bad mood. I delt with rude people, I'm worried about Christmas gifts getting here on time, & I've been working like crazy lately to save a bit of money. Nothing new to pretty much anyone.
So as I was cleaning, I found a yellow color pencil. Bright sunny yellow, the color of brand new flowers, or the shade in a bright yellow & orange sunset. Seemed to just be out of nowhere really. It made me stop & realize that color pencils have simply GOT to be one of the prettiest thing in the world. I mean think about it, it's a tangible bit of happiness. Whatever color you like, doesn't matter. You can use it to literally change something into something beautiful! In our heck tic fast paced world where the longest you get to yourself is probably going to the bathroom ( unless you have small kids or pets, then just give it up), a yellow color pencil can make a little sunshine. Next time you get the chance, take a moment,  be a kid & color something pretty. I think the simple act of drawing is cathartic in a primal human way. Even the ancients did it.
